Update on PG&E Proposed Power Shutdown (PSPS)
Posted 10/8/19

Due to dangerous, predicted weather patterns and subsequent fire danger, PG&E is considering a Public-Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) this week which could affect a wide area of Napa County, including many of our schools.

As of now, we are not closing schools but are continuing to monitor the situation very closely. PG&E has a large-scale power shutdown plan in place, and if we receive notification from PG&E that they are going forward with their plan,  it will result in school closures. Unfortunately, these decisions are not in our hands.

Our leadership team has been on frequent conference calls with PG&E and the Napa County Office of Emergency Services, and will provide updates as the situation unfolds and more information becomes available.
